PREZENTARE CARTE

Translation and Literature: An Interdisciplinary Approach with its chapters on translation theory, translation and literature analyses is meant to provide a new perspective on the field of translation studies. These fill some of the gaps left by previous researchers with new theoretical findings concerning the ways of tackling different types of words, phrases and texts. In the book, one can also find practical remarks about discourse elements, linguistic devices and processes, which are fundamental for an accurate rendering of the source language text into the target language and for a thorough understanding of the textual layers of the original. It is meant to be a guiding light for students, teachers and researchers, as its purpose is that of emphasising the most important aspects and tools that one needs to pay attention to when studying, teaching, writing about or researching the field of translations. Its focus on language functions, translation methods, equivalence, translation difficulties, cultural translation, metaphor translation and personification translation helps one grasp the core of translation studies.
